Superset Consulting Requirement A major financial services company sought to transition away from a proprietary, industry-leading BI solution for one of its critical products. The goal was to migrate to an Open Source alternative, specifically Superset, to achieve significant savings on licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg facilitated several project meetings with the client to gain a comprehensive understanding of the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on these discussions, we developed a detailed Statement of Work to guide and track project progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the specific reporting needs for each report type. We recommended adjustments to the data stores to optimize Superset usage and ensure peak performance, while providing guidance to the team implementing these changes. Once the data store and data pipeline were optimized, our consultants began developing and deploying a range of reports, addressing both existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To meet the specific data presentation needs, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants have been building new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is transferred to the client’s organization to maintain these dashboards and reports independently.
The project is currently ongoing and has been highly regarded by both the client’s business teams and their end users. Highlighting the project’s success, its scope has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
