• Automate workflow processes using Power Automate (formerly known as Microsoft Flow) to minimize manual and repetitive tasks.
• Create data reports and dashboards with Power BI to generate insightful analytics for the business.
• Build chatbots using Power Virtual Agents to automate and resolve common customer inquiries and issues.

This course provides a foundational overview of Power Virtual Agents, Power Automate, and Power Apps, along with a high-level introduction to Power BI. The curriculum is designed around a real-world process I previously managed manually for a former employer. We will construct a Power App using Microsoft Power Apps to monitor tasks related to newly built homes, storing the data on SharePoint for simplicity. Additionally, we will employ Power Virtual Agents to guide users on enabling bots within Microsoft Teams, directing them to documents that may be dispersed across various SharePoint sites, such as loan agreements, budgets, and sales contracts, using a construction example. I see significant potential for these bots within HR and IT departments to address repetitive inquiries. I will also demonstrate how to establish simple flows in Power Automate to archive attachments from specific senders (for instance, saving inspection reports organized by the bank for the units). Furthermore, we will explore other straightforward flows that save data from Microsoft Forms back to SharePoint and develop fully automated workflows using the Approvals app within Microsoft Teams. After completing the app, bot, and flow, the final step involves creating a basic Power BI report. We will use Power Automate to send a snapshot of the table containing the most recently completed tasks every two weeks to a designated recipient (the bank in this scenario), requesting a drawdown that includes the completion dates and budget amounts for those tasks (all data collected via the app). While this course covers concepts at a high level, I recommend that learners use ChatGPT for more technical aspects, such as coding elements and formulas in Power Apps. However, the course itself includes a demonstration on how to effectively leverage ChatGPT to assist with Power Apps formulas.
