Ubuntu Training in Clermont-Ferrand

In an IT environment increasingly prioritizing flexibility and cost-effectiveness, adopting open-source infrastructure is no longer an optional choice; it is a strategic imperative. Although your team currently excels in Windows environments, the lack of proficiency in Linux acts as a barrier to deploying modern, scalable web applications and storage solutions.

Solution: This intensive 5-Day Accelerated Program is engineered to close that expertise gap. We go beyond merely teaching "commands"; we evolve Windows-focused administrators into capable Linux System Engineers. Upon completion, your team will have the proficiency to deploy secure web servers, oversee networked storage, and—most importantly—implement centralized identity management on Linux using Active Directory protocols.

By the conclusion of this training, participants will be equipped to:

• Deployment & Security: Install Ubuntu Server from the ground up and harden it using industry-standard SSH practices.
• Identity Management: (New) Set up and administer Active Directory services via Samba to centralize user accounts and authentication (LDAP).
• Automation: Develop Bash scripts to streamline repetitive maintenance workflows.
• Hosting: Deploy and sustain production-grade web servers (Apache/Nginx).

This instructor-led, live training in Clermont-Ferrand (online or on-site) is designed for system administrators who wish to use Ubuntu to set up and manage network devices, virtual machines, and containers within a secure, customizable, and user-friendly operating system.

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Set up the necessary environment to manage network devices, virtual machines, and cloud images with Ubuntu.
• Understand the features and advantages of Ubuntu and the different variants.
• Configure network devices and security using bash and sudo shell commands.
• Use the technologies (such as OpenStack) and tools available in Ubuntu to manage virtualization and cloud containers.
• Learn how to set up and configure mail servers (Dovecot, Exim4, and Postfix) and web servers (Apache) in Ubuntu.
