Course Outline

Overview

Data management involves the systematic storage and processing of data. Within an enterprise environment, this scope expands significantly, requiring careful attention to data volume, processing speed, security, sharing protocols, and analytical capabilities.

This course is designed for entry-level engineers, providing an exploration of the technologies, tools, architectures, and design methodologies employed to handle large-scale data. We will examine traditional data storage methods, such as relational databases, alongside emerging, less structured approaches.

The curriculum contrasts traditional file systems and server architectures with their distributed and clustered counterparts, all within the framework of managing and processing big data across distributed environments.

Participants will engage in hands-on exercises and assessments, followed by instructor coaching and group discussions.
