Day 1 delivers comprehensive coverage of essential cloud computing principles, linking technology with business strategy. This module is organized into distinct sections, each reinforced by a practical, hands-on exercise.
Day 2 investigates technology aspects specific to cloud computing platforms. Rather than delving into implementation or programming specifics, it maintains a conceptual focus on cloud service architecture, security threats and technologies, virtualization, and data processing.
Day 3 offers technical insight into foundational cloud computing platforms. It examines Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments as composite patterns made up of unique and shared components. Structured as a guided exploration of these architectural layers, this session describes primary and shared components and explains how building blocks are assembled and implemented using cloud computing mechanisms and practices.
Day 4 expands on Day 3 by diving deep into elastic, resilient, and multitenant technology architectures, along with specialized solution designs such as cloud bursting and cloud balancing. Through the study of architectural mechanisms, industry technologies, and design patterns, the course details both core and extended components that achieve elasticity, resiliency, and multitenancy as key cloud platform characteristics. By leveraging native and enhanced scalability and failover features, it describes specialized solution architectures that enable bursting between clouds and on-premise environments, as well as balancing runtime loads across clouds for performance and failover purposes.
Day 5 presents participants with a series of exercises and problems designed to assess their ability to apply the knowledge gained in previous sessions.
